Myofascial Release

Fascia is a non elastic connective tissue which extends throughout the body, covering and supporting structures as viscera, muscles, joints and attaching to the skeleton. The fibers are unlike muscle fibers that run parallel to each other but run in all directions. Releasing fascial restrictions isn’t as easy as stretching a muscle but requires gentle movements in all directions under the trained hands of a therapist who feels the direction of the restrictions.
