Medical Exercise Therapy

Through a systemic approach and with active participation by the patient, Medical Exercise Therapy aims to improve one or several functional properties by utilization of objectively graded activity. Medical Exercise Therapy is a branch of Manual Therapy and Exercise Therapy in which the patient performs exercises using specially designed apparatus, without manual assistance, but under the constant supervision of the Physical Therapist. The apparatus is designed to optimally stimulate the relevant functional properties: neurological, muscular, arthrogenic, circulatory and respiratory. The exercise program is based on muscle testing, specific joint tests, functional tests and a diagnosis.
